Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman George Karlaftis spoke with reporters before practice on Wednesday to share his thoughts on attempting to slow down Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

“It takes all 11, I can tell you that (laughs). We got so much respect for the dude, not just him, but their whole offense, really their whole team. They’re tough; they do stuff the right way,” said Karlaftis, “Lamar specifically is so athletic, but he’s such an accurate quarterback. I don’t think he gets enough respect for that. He really can do it all, and I’ve talked about this before, he’s one of those elite quarterbacks that really can do it all, he’s MVP and all this stuff. Definitely a lot of respect for him, and it’s going to take everything we got to stop him.”

During last Sunday night’s victory over the New York Giants, Karlaftis, Chris Jones, and Omarr Norman-Lott each generated at least five individual pressures. The defense pressured Russell Wilson on 54% of his dropbacks, blitzing only six times.

Karlaftis was all over the field in Week 3 as he collected a sack and led the team in tackles with eight.
