The Tennessee Titans‘ rotating door at right tackle will continue in Week 4 against the Houston Texans as starter JC Latham is out for the third-straight week.
Titans coach Brian Callahan ruled Latham out for the Titans (0-3) game against the Texans (0-3) at NRG Stadium on Sept. 28 (noon CT, CBS). In Latham’s place, the Titans will start veteran Oli Udoh, who’s been a rotational piece throughout the season. The Titans signed rookie Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson to the active roster from the practice squad to be Udoh’s and left tackle Dan Moore Jr.’s backup. John Ojukwu, who has started the last two weeks with Latham out, is expected to be inactive for the game, per Callahan.
Callahan complimented Udoh’s consistency and his week of practice, leading to the decision.
The Titans made or will make several other roster moves ahead of this game. Running back Kalel Mullings is headed to injured reserve with an ankle injury and will not play for at least four weeks. Receiver Bryce Oliver has also been ruled out for Week 4, but he’s not headed to IR. The Titans will elevate running back Jordan Mims from the practice squad to the active roster for this game. Linebacker Curtis Jacobs, who spent the offseason with the Titans, has been signed to the practice squad as another depth piece.
No changes are being made to the active roster at cornerback as the Titans play their first game after trading away Jarvis Brownlee Jr., to the New York Jets. Expect the Titans to employ Jalyn Armour-Davis, Darrell Baker Jr., and Marcus Harris as the team looks for answers opposite L’Jarius Sneed.
