Shaun Alexander has a touchdown-worthy family update.
The retired NFL star revealed that he and wife Valerie Alexander are expecting their 14th baby.
“We’re just now starting to tell people,” Shaun, 48, said on the Sept. 25 episode of the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams podcast, “but number 14 is in the belly.”
And after sharing the sweet news, Valerie, 46, debuted her baby bump—and revealed when baby no. 14 is set to make their debut.
“I am so excited about our newest little one, arriving 2/17/2026!!” she captioned her Instagram post. “Every child is a miracle, a blessing, and a gift!! We thank God for each of our children and count them as true treasures!!”
As for how the legendary Seattle Seahawks running back and his wife’s kids have reacted to the news? She shared a video of one of their youngest kids touching her baby bump and asking, “You have a baby in your tummy? Yeah or no?”

The couple—who married in 2002—are already parents of 13 kids: Heaven, Trinity, Eden, Joseph, Justus, Temple, Honor, Jedidiah, Eternity, Hosanna, Hope and Judea—whose ages range from 22 to 2—and daughter Torah, who died in 2017 while only 2 months old.
Valerie has often shared pics of the kids on social media, including in July, when she posted a collection of family photos. She captioned her Instagram post, “Our growing family through the years 2003-2024.”

Meanwhile, several of Shaun and Valerie’s kids are following in his footsteps as athletes. Their daughters Trinity, 20, and Eden, 18, are on the track and field roster at their college, while their son Joseph, 16, is a high school football player.
“Joseph’s 2025 season opener! First HS football game ever!” Valerie captioned an August Instagram post. “After sitting out freshman year, his dad’s homeschool program gave him a chance. Despite several injuries over the last 2 months, including a broken wrist, Joseph crushed it with 100+ receiving yards. His faith and perseverance paid off.”
This past March, Joseph and his two brothers, Justus and Jedidiah, joined Shaun at the 2025 NFL Draft.
“I asked Jedidiah what he wanted for his birthday; He said go somewhere with you. So, draft it was,” the 2005 NFL MVP wrote on Instagram. “Great time with my boys.”
