GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers are going to have a backup offensive line crew with very little experience against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Packers will be without right tackles Zach Tom (oblique) and Anthony Belton (ankle) and are likely to be without guard Aaron Banks (groin).

To help bolster the numbers, the Packers have elevated guard/center Lecitus Smith from the practice squad to the gameday roster. Smith, who spent a short time with the Packers in training camp and six weeks on their practice squad last season, was signed Wednesday.
The addition of Smith came after the Packers signed rookie tackle Brant Banks to the 53-man roster Sept. 23.

The backups heading into the Cowboys game Sept. 28 are Smith, Banks and guard Donovan Jennings. Smith is the only one of the three who has played in a regular season, appearing in 10 games with two starts for Arizona in 2022 and eight games with one start for New England last year.

Smith would be the most likely to play at center if something happened to starter Elgton Jenkins.
The Packers’ expected starters against the Cowboys are Rasheed Walker at left tackle, Jordan Morgan at left guard, Jenkins at center, Sean Rhyan at right guard and Darian Kinnard at right tackle. It’s possible the Packers could flip Morgan and Kinnard.

Green Bay Packers guard Lecitus Smith (68) blocks Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna (92) during the first quarter of their preseason game Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Green Bay Packers beat the Seattle Seahawks 20-7.
