The Jacksonville Jaguars announced a pair of roster moves on Saturday prior to their Week 4 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

From the practice squad, the Jaguars will be elevating tight end Quintin Morris and wide receiver Austin Trammell to the game-day roster.

This will be the third time that Morris has been elevated this season. He hasn’t seen any offensive snaps in his previous two games, but he’s been a core special teams contributor, playing 33 snaps during that span across four of the six different phases.

Without Yasir Abdullah, Morris’ special teams contributions will be important.

This is the final time this season that Morris can be elevated to the game-day roster. Teams are permitted to do so just three times per practice squad player. So moving forward, if the Jaguars want Morris available on Sundays, he’ll have to be signed to the 53-man roster first.

Trammell’s elevation comes with Dyami Brown questionable with a shoulder injury. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Brown won’t go on Sunday, but Trammell’s elevation makes this a situation that will be worth monitoring until inactives are announced 90 minutes before kickoff.

Trammell initially made the Jaguars’ 53-man roster out of training camp, but was released and then signed back to the practice squad after Jacksonville traded for Tim Patrick.

This is Trammell’s first practice squad elevation this season.
