The Bears are coming off their first win of the season, a 31-14 home victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3. They covered as 1-point underdogs and the Under (50) hit. QB Caleb Williams went 19-of-28 for 298 yards with 4 TDs, tying his career high, and Ben Johnson recorded his first win as a head coach. The Bears had failed to cover in their first 2 games of the season, including a 52-21 loss at the Detroit Lions in Week 2 as 6.5-point underdogs.

The Raiders failed to cover as 3-point underdogs in a 41-24 loss at the Washington Commanders in Week 3 as the Over (44) cashed. Las Vegas allowed 174 first-half rushing yards — 201 for the full game — and gave up 14 points in the third quarter, including a 90-yard punt return by WR Jaylin Lane. The Raiders have lost back-to-back games by 11-plus points after upsetting the New England Patriots 20-13 in Week 1 as 2.5-point underdogs.

Bears at Raiders picks and predictionsPrediction

Bears 31, Raiders 20

CHICAGO (+105) seems to have righted the ship after a 31-point loss to the Lions in Week 2.

The Raiders, meanwhile, are coming off a 17-point loss to the Commanders, who were without QB Jayden Daniels.

Williams is a former No. 1 overall pick, and Johnson is tied with the Minnesota Vikings’ Kevin O’Connell for the eighth-highest coaching salary in the NFL. Maybe they just needed a couple of games to start living up to their potential.

BET BEARS (+105).

Chicago +1.5 (-110) is a solid bet; however, the preferred play is going after the greater odds on the moneyline.

PASS on the spread.

The Bears scored 31 points in Week 3 and allowed 27 or more in each of their first 2 games.

The Raiders, meanwhile, gave up 41 points to a Commanders team that was without Daniels in Week 3.

Both defenses have shown vulnerabilities — and it’s only Week 4.

BET OVER 47.5 (-110).
