Aaron Rodgers’ move to the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason was rightfully met with some skepticism.
Rodgers, a four-time NFL MVP, was coming off two disappointing seasons with the New York Jets. The 41-year-old quarterback suffered a torn Achilles injury in 2023. He returned for the 2024 season, but the Jets missed the playoffs. The Steelers, meanwhile, were coming off a season in which both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields spent time at quarterback.

Could Rodgers actually be significantly better? It turns out that the answer to that question is a resounding yes – at least, so far.

The Steelers are leading the Vikings, 24-14, in the Dublin, Ireland game on Sunday afternoon. Rodgers has been sensational.
Aaron Rodgers’ stats vs. Vikings
Yes, Rodgers has even scrambled for some yardage, at 41 years of age. He’s been highly impressive.
NFL fans are very impressed
Rodgers, who has been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism over the past couple of years, is rightfully getting a lot of praise on Sunday.

“AaronRodgers’ average time to throw the last two drives is 1.60 seconds (I’m not kidding) 9/9 for 145 and a TD. Can’t do any better than that,” Brett Kollman shared on X.
“Aaron Rodgers leaves the #Jets and suddenly every single possible turnover worthy play he has somehow mysteriously doesn’t result in a turnover maybe we are cursed man,” one Jets fan wrote.
“Aaron Rodgers smoking from that fountain of youth… SCOOTIN,” Pat McAfee wrote.

“The people shocked Aaron Rodgers looks good in Pittsburgh are the same ones with the worst case of Rodgers Derangement Syndrome. He’s not peak Rodgers anymore, but pretending he “sucked” last year was always lazy,” one fan added.
Rodgers made NFL history on Sunday, too, joining Tom Brady as the only quarterbacks to throw for 60 or more touchdowns against two different franchises. He’s thrown 64 against the Bears and 60 against the Vikings.

The Steelers will improve to 3-1 on the year if they hold on Sunday.
