Week 4 of the NFL season is flying by, as the Sunday early and afternoon windows have officially wrapped, leading up to the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys on “Sunday Night Football.”
The four-game late afternoon window was headlined by a showdown between MVP quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes as the Baltimore Ravens visit the Kansas City Chiefs. Each of these teams has been off to a slow start in the win-loss column and entered Week 4 with a 1-2 record.

The Ravens defense has uncharacteristically struggled to start the season, marred by injuries, and this week was no different. The Chiefs dropped 37 points on the Ravens, managing more than 32 points in a single game for the first time since the 2023 season. Mahomes tossed for four scores himself, connecting with JuJu Smith-Schuster, Isiah Pacheco, Tyquan Thornton and Hollywood Brown for one apiece.

Unfortunately for the Ravens, the loss also came with some injuries — on top of those they were already dealing with heading into Week 4. MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson exited this game late in the third quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return.
Backup Cooper Rush entered the game in his place as Baltimore attempted to clear a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter, but was unable to complete the comeback, and the Ravens fell to a 1-3 record. Second-year cornerback Nate Wiggins was also carted off in this game with an apparent arm injury. This officially marks the Ravens’ first 1-3 start since 2015.
