President Trump appeared to be watching Sunday night’s epic game between the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers.

The Cowboys and the Packers tied, 40-40, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Dallas and Green Bay had an epic back and forth affair that ended in overtime. Neither the Cowboys nor the Packers were able to get the job done in overtime, only securing field goals. Both quarterbacks, Dak Prescott and Jordan Love, played extremely well. But both were disappointed following the game.

“I believe in my defense,” Prescott said postgame, per the team transcript. “This game, yeah I can be mad about the one second on the clock, I can be mad that they drove the ball, but at the end of the day I’m pissed that we didn’t score in the red zone. We had an opportunity to score in the red zone. . . . Not for one second am I looking at the defense. I’m a guy that looks inward first, looks at what we need to do and what I need to do to help this team, and if we score in the red zone or start faster, who knows if we’re in this position.”

There were a lot of kickoffs on Sunday night, with both teams scoring a lot of points. Dallas Cowboys returner Kavontae Turpin had some big returns, especially late in the fourth quarter. Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, meanwhile, had some impressive touchbacks.

But one person watching on Sunday night was not a fan of the NFL’s new kickoff rule, which takes touchbacks to the 35-yard line, unless the ball lands in a specific landing zone and is touched back, which puts it at the 20-yard line.

President Trump is calling out the NFL.

The President of the United States hates the kickoff rule

President Trump says the NFL’s new kickoff rule, which is taken from the XFL, is not what football should be. He says that it’s hard to watch and he wants it to end – immediately.

“Hard to watch the new NFL kickoff. It’s wrong on every level. They should end it, immediately. Bad for the game of football!” he wrote on his Truth Social platform.

Some NFL teams have been excelling with the new kickoff rule, like the Rams and the Panthers, while other teams, like the Raiders and 49ers, have really been struggling.

Should the NFL consider changing the rule?
