Now what? Truthfully, friends, that’s where we are now, searching for needed answers. There was always a chance that the Baltimore Ravens could lose at Arrowhead Stadium, but most who thought that were probably thinking about a close shootout. Never in a million years did we expect a one-sided affair where the visiting team offered zero fight.
And now there’s more to discuss. We may be eyeing the possibility of Cooper Rush starting for the foreseeable future. Lamar Jackson is hurt, as are three more starters that the Ravens lost during a tough day vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.

Roquan Smith, Nate Wiggins, and Marlon Humphrey have all been added to the wounded list as a tough stretch of games for the Ravens nears. Patrick Mahomes was gracious in victory but was also understandably confident in his team’s chances of winning.
“When you’re playing one of the better teams in the NFL, you know you’re going to have to be a little bit more aggressive. I know their record doesn’t show, but everybody knows that’s the Baltimore Ravens, and they’ve had so much success these last few years. We had a good game plan going in. We knew we had to raise our game, and I think that we finished the game the right way. But, it was a close game throughout until the very end there, and I thought we executed at a high level in crucial situations, and that’s what changes the tide of the game.”
CBS featured this one in the late window for obvious reasons. Two teams entered Week 4 in danger of sliding to 1-3. Both teams sought momentum. One found theirs, and that team is a squad that has, more often than not, had Lamar Jackson and company’s number.
“At the end of the day, that’s a great offense. That’s a great football team [and] that’s a great offense with two guys that are the top of the league… I know they got the late touchdown, but [our teammates] played lockdown defense and they put pressure on the quarterback. They got turnovers. They got interceptions. They got turnovers, and that sparked us offensively. Giving us those short fields, we have to execute and score off those, and it was a good team football game. It wasn’t just offense. It wasn’t just defense or special teams. It was everybody [coming] together, and that’s what we need the rest of the year.”
If Baltimore can right the ship, there’s a chance that they could face these Chiefs again come the postseason, but first things first. The Ravens need to start winning games, or they can cancel any potential flight plans for January and beyond. As we enter the second month of the season, things are tightening more than they were in, say, Weeks 1-4.
