TRADE WITH ARIZONA CARDINALS
The Chiefs give serious thought to taking a tackle like JC Latham, who might have kept Patrick Mahomes clean enough in Super Bowl LIX to make a three-peat possible. Then again, they also know they might not have made it to New Orleans in the first place without Xavier Worthy, who played a huge role in pushing them past the Bills in the AFC title game. And this time around, Buffalo certainly isn’t going to facilitate Worthy’s path back to the Chiefs by dealing them the 28th pick again, as they did in real life last April. So K.C. trades ahead of Buffalo, thereby preventing any spite-related shenanigans by the Bills. (And then, of course, they proceed to work the phones feverishly in hopes of snagging someone like Latham to bolster the O-line in the hypothetical re-running of Round 2 to follow.)
