Gronkowski is a regular on NFL Sunday and NFL Kickoff.
So it’s no surprise that the crew quickly addressed his absence, with Strahan being joined by Pittsburgh Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw.
“Where’s Gronk today?” asked Bradshaw at the beginning of the show.
“He’s at home,” Strahan joked as he pounced on the opportunity to take aim at Gronk.
“He’s taking a nap, he’s sleeping.”
Gronkowski would later appear on the show in the studio segment.
It was only last week that Bradshaw and Gronkowski had their own viral moment when the former tight end poked fun at his college’s weight.
The incident came when Gronk confirmed he would be playing in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Saudi Arabia next March.
“I’ve got to pick it up a little and run fast speed routes,” Gronkowski said.
Bradshaw then enquired about his present weight.

“I’ve got to lose about 20 pounds just like you,” Gronkowski said, and his answer prompted gasps in the studio.
Strahan had his eyes wide open in shock before Gronk tried to do some damage limitation.
“I’m just messing around,” he declared.
But Bradshaw scolded him saying, “Don’t be shaking my hand. That wasn’t funny.”
Sunday proved to be an eventful day of NFL action.
The New York Giants recorded their first win of the season against the Los Angeles Chargers as Jaxson Dart made his NFL debut.
