The Houston Texans will face off against the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday ahead of their bye week, but they likely aren’t going to have to worry about two-time MVP Lamar Jackson picking apart the defense.
According to reports, Jackson, who suffered a hamstring injury in Week 4’s road loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, is not expected to play on Sunday when Houston arrives for a 1 p.m. kickoff. According to Brian Wacker of the Baltimore Sun, Jackson could miss two to three weeks given the severity of the strain.

Head coach John Harbaugh made it clear that there was “no way” Jackson could have returned to the game on Sunday and did mentioned that the team would be monitoring his activity throughout the week.
Should Jackson be inactive, Houston would take on former Dallas Cowboys backup Cooper Rush. In relief of the Ravens’ starter, Rush completed 9 of 13 passes for 52 yards.
Last season with the Cowboys, he completed 60.7% of his passes for 1,844 yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions in 12 games. Rush als[o started for Dallas against the Texans in a 34-10 loss at AT&T Stadium.
“We’ve got a lot of playmakers around him if he’s playing,” Harbaugh said of Rush on Monday.

The Texans will have a bye week following Sunday’s contest before returning in Week 7 to take on the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field.
