Several teams have met with former Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Jalon Walker and defensive end Mykel Williams before the 2025 NFL draft and now you can add an NFC West team to that. The Arizona Cardinals announced that they’ll meet with Walker, Williams, and Tennessee edge rusher James Pearce, according to Sam Robinson of Pro Football Trade Rumors.
Edge rusher isn’t as big of a need for Arizona as it has been for the past two offseasons. They’ve lost talents like Chandler Jones, J.J. Watt, and Zach Allen over the years with no replacements for them.

However, the Cardinals have made many moved to address it this year. In the 2024 trade deadline, they traded for Baron Browning from the Broncos and resigned him. They also landed former Philadelphia Eagles star edge rusher Josh Sweat via free agency to reunite him with his previous defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon.
However, the Cardinals could definitely use one of Jalon Walker or Mykel Williams to complement Josh Sweat. Walker is a do-it-all linebacker who uses his athleticism to win pass rush reps. He led Georgia in sacks last season with 6.5.
Williams has elite athleticism that Gannon could help develop. Williams could make a great duo with Josh Sweat.
