The Los Angeles Rams are set at quarterback for at least the rest of this season. Matthew Stafford is playing exceptionally well, Jimmy Garoppolo is a trustworthy backup and Stetson Bennett showed major signs of improvement in the preseason.

Though the Rams don’t have a need at the position now, they could in the near future. Might Anthony Richardson be someone they could consider?

The Indianapolis Colts turned to Daniel Jones this season after he beat out Richardson in a camp battle, leading many to believe the team could trade the former first-round QB. While the Colts aren’t planning to move him as of now, Richardson is reportedly open to a fresh start elsewhere.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Richardson would like to play for a “premier playcaller such as Sean McVay.

One intriguing option is Anthony Richardson Sr., who is stuck behind Daniel Jones in Indianapolis. My sense is Richardson would be open to joining a premier playcaller such as Sean McVay as a developmental player so he can reset for 2026.

There have been no reports linking Richardson to the Rams, but it’s understandable that he’d want to play for someone like McVay. Just look at what he did for Baker Mayfield in less than half a season, helping him get his career back on track before landing with the Buccaneers.

McVay is an offensive mastermind that every quarterback (and player, really) would probably love to play for. Richardson needs a lot of work as a passer but McVay could be just the guy to revive his career following a difficult start in Indianapolis.
