The Washington Commanders are looking to get back in the win column in Week 5.

The team is travelling across the country to take on the Los Angeles Chargers after falling to the Atlanta Falcons last weekend. Of course, the Commanders were without star quarterback Jayden Daniels and wide receiver Terry McLaurin last week, and the hope is that one or both will be back for this matchup.

On Wednesday, the team made several roster moves ahead of its trip to Los Angeles. Cornerback Antonio Hamilton Sr. was added from the team’s practice squad, and with Hamilton’s practice squad spot, the team signed veteran wide receiver Robbie Chosen.

To make a roster spot for Hamilton, edge-rusher Javontae Jean-Baptiste was added to the reserve/injured list. Jean-Baptiste left the game against the Falcons with a pectoral injury and will now miss significant time.

Jean-Baptiste had six tackles, one sack, and one tackle for loss in three games for the Commanders before his injury. Without the veteran, the team will need more from Jalyn Holmes and old friend Preston Smith.

Hamilton, meanwhile, has already been active in two games for the Commanders this season. Last weekend, the veteran recovered a fumble and played mostly on special teams. Hamilton will give the Commanders some added corner depth behind Trey Amos and Marshon Lattimore.

Chosen is an experienced receiver who could also be called upon eventually. The receiver has played in 122 career games for four different teams, catching 379 passes for 5,082 yards and 30 touchdowns. Chosen and Commanders’ offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury were in Arizona together in 2022, so there’s some familiarity there.
