The game time had come into question with the Seattle Mariners set to play Game 2 of an American League Division Series also on Sunday across the street at T-Mobile Park, but MLB announced Wednesday morning that game will start at 5:03 p.m.

Sunday’s Seahawks-Buccaneers game will have extra meaning. Both teams entered the NFL as expansion franchises in 1976 and are celebrating their 50th seasons in the league. Fittingly, the Hawks and Bucs will each be wearing throwback uniforms hearkening back to the early days of their histories.

Uniform nirvana: Seahawks, Bucs to both wear throwbacks in Week 5

The Seahawks, who are holding a season-long celebration of their 50 years, will reveal a new wall inside Lumen Field on Sunday honoring the players who were selected as the top 50 Seahawks of all-time by a combination of fan votes and a voting committee.

Those 50 players will be honored during a special on-field ceremony at halftime.

Both Seattle and Tampa Bay enter Sunday’s game with 3-1 records. The Buccaneers are alone in first place in the NFC South, while the Seahawks are tied with the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams for the lead in the NFL West.

Radio coverage on Seattle Sports of Sunday’s Seahawks-Buccaneers game will begin at 10 a.m. with the pregame show.
