The Buffalo Bills began their preparations for the New England Patriots on Wednesday. The two AFC East rivals will face off on “Sunday Night Football.”

When the Bills (4-0) welcome the Patriots (2-2) to Highmark Stadium for that Week 5 game, Buffalo could be welcoming a few players back to the lineup.

For multiple weeks, defensive tackle Ed Oliver (ankle) and linebacker Matt Milano (pectoral) have not suited up for the Bills.

Last week, offensive lineman Spencer Brown (calf) surprisingly joined the two on the sideline. That happened despite Brown playing every snap the week before sitting out Week 4’s win over the New Orleans Saints.

All three have taken a step forward in terms of their health at the start of Patriots week.

First, Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott said the trio would be limited in practice on Wednesday. And all three were.

Despite that, it doesn’t mean they will play against the Pats. Their practice statuses will still have to be monitored throughout the coming days.
