The Minnesota Vikings took one of the safer picks in the 2025 NFL Draft when they drafted Donovan Jackson out of Ohio State. The offensive lineman had worked at both tackle and guard, making him a versatile piece, but also completing the team’s rebuild of their interior offensive line.
Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has to be happy with his draft pick, but what about those on the outside looking in?

Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon graded each first-round pick from April’s NFL Draft. For the selection of Jackson, he gave the pick a grade of B-. He writes, “Jackson was off to an up-and-down start (great debut against Chicago, brutal follow-up against Atlanta) before playing with a wrist issue in Week 3. Now, he’s undergone surgery on the injury.”
Jackson is expected back sooner rather than later, which will give this unit a big boost. While he has a B- now, he is likely to earn a much higher grade if he can get back to the version we saw before the wrist injury occurred.
