The Tennessee Titans returned to the field on Thursday as they continued to prepare for their Week 5 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, and announced a change to their practice squad.

Tennessee made a small move by signing safety Kendell Brooks and placing running back Blake Watson on the practice squad injured list.

Brooks should be a familiar face to Titans’ fans after he made a strong case for making the 53-man roster during training camp. A downhill player, Brooks flashed his ball skills and special teams prowess during the preseason and could be some valuable depth with rookie safety Kevin Winston Jr. battling a hamstring injury.

Brooks initially signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted rookie free agent following the 2023 NFL draft. Has has also spent time with the Indianapolis Colts, Washington Commanders, and Tennessee Titans over his two-plus seasons since leaving Michigan State. In all, he has seen action in five NFL games, with the majority of his snaps coming on special teams.

While no details on Watson’s injury were released, he was recovering from a PCL injury in the preseason finale, which led to him being released by the Denver Broncos with an injury settlement. Watson initially entered the league as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2024, signing with the Denver Broncos and spending the season between their active roster and the practice squad. He saw action in two games during the 2024 season and finished with four carries for 10 yards.
