BILLINGS, Mont. — Renovations for Daylis Stadium in Billings have been a long time coming for local football fans. While there are plans to have a new field built by next year, the fundraising process is still in the works.

That’s where former Denver Broncos running back and NFL Hall of Fame member Terrell Davis comes in. Davis was in the Magic City Thursday as he was a part of a fundraising event for Daylis Stadium called the “Endzone for Daylis,” an evening with Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis. The event took place Thursday night at the Alberta Bair Theater in Billings.

“There are a lot of benefits to having a new facility,” said Davis. “Kids, they deserve it, they deserve to have that feeling of euphoria when they see something that’s new.”

Davis is a 2017 NFL Hall of Fame inductee, and he played for the Denver Broncos from 1995-2001. His mission now that he is retired is to help give back to the game of football that gave him so much.

“As I started getting older, my passion was always to give back to football, because again, it’s given me so much,” added Davis. “I give, whether it’s my time, money, motivation, mentorships whether it’s teaching or coaching kids. I have been a part of football my entire life, since I was seven.”

The former running back won two Super Bowls with the Broncos and was named Super Bowl XXXII MVP and he was the 1998 NFL MVP as well.

Though Davis has many accolades to his name, he says giving back to communities in need is more rewarding than winning at the highest level.

“I think what is more rewarding is when you are helping other people, it’s just a fact. I feel like that feeds my soul deeper than winning something,” said Davis.

Renovations of Daylis Stadium are planned to begin this December after the end of the current high school football season. The new stadium is expected to be completed in October 2026.
