Got a lot of football action going on this weekend, including a desperation game between the Texans and the Ravens, and all eyes are on Lamar Jackson.

Josina Anderson tweeted this earlier today.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s hamstring, not currently expected to play this Sunday versus the Texans, nor next week versus the Rams, outside of faster healing, which still can be deceptive.

The bye week is after that.

That’s a good safe window to help better ensure the hamstring issue, uh, doesn’t impact the season when it counts more, uh, or doesn’t reappear, I should say, when it counts more.

See, Rob, uh, thoughts on where we are with Lamar right now?

Yeah, I mean, look, Josina is plugged in and, you know, I talked to somebody from the Baltimore Ravens organization, uh, the last two days, just kind of in passing, asking like, you know, how are you looking at this and immediately got pushed back on this idea that, hey, he’s he’s definitely out 2 to 3 weeks, um, and, and what I was told was they’re gonna test it.

And then take their time, test it, take their time, and just sort of see, uh, ultimately where he’s at.

I, I think that makes sense what what Josina is reporting that it looks like the next two weeks are iffy, obviously this week I think is.

I think we can pretty much count them out for this week, but I, I think next week is one as well that we have to look at the Ravens and say, look, there’s a very good chance that Cooper Rush is gonna have to be the guy, uh, behind center the next two weeks, and I’d be nervous.

I mean, look, this is we, we talked about it before, it’s the schedule is, uh, look, the Houston Texans.

Not a fan of getting the Texans after a get right game, because you don’t know how much that win over the Tennessee Titans ultimately changes the confidence of the Houston Texans, and it still is a talented team with good experienced coaches who can motivate guys.

Sometimes all it takes is getting one good foothold win and all of a sudden you can spin and pivot off of that.

And I, I feel like the Texans are very much capable of doing that.

Yeah, this.

This is one of the wildest gambling games, I think I can recall in a long time.

So this look-ahead line and and obviously those Lines come out the week before, and presumably Lamar Jackson was healthy as far as we knew going into that Chiefs game.

This was -10 for the Ravens at some sports books.

It’s now Houston -2.

So that’s a 12 point move.

This is not all Lamar Jackson.

-2, it, it went from Baltimore -10 to Houston, so Lamar is worth 12.

Does that sound right?

That Lamar is 12 points.

So I obviously talked to a couple bookmakers.

I do that article every year, which I did for Yahoo.

Lamar Jackson was worth around 6.5 points, maybe a little more.

Uh, I think he was the 3rd or 4th against the spread.

Now, that was one sportsbook was 10, some were 9.5, but still, it’s a massive move.
