Allen Park — Detroit Lions cornerback Khalil Dorsey returned to practice Thursday, a significant development ahead of Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Dorsey missed Wednesday’s practice in concussion protocol. It’s unclear where he falls as an option to backfill the void left behind by starter D.J. Reed, who was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury, but he did split time with fellow reserve Rock Ya-Sin when Reed and Terrion Arnold left Sunday’s win against the Cleveland Browns at Ford Field, and he figures to be part of the rotation tasked with slowing down Bengals receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
Also at Thursday’s practice was Arnold, who left Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury and did not return. Arnold was listed as a full participant after being limited Wednesday’s. Dorsey was also a full participant.
There were no unexpected absences on Thursday. Offensive tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder), running back Sione Vaki (groin), safety Kerby Joseph (knee) and linebacker Zach Cunningham (hamstring) were all absent for the second day in a row.
Defensive lineman Alim McNeill (knee), who had his practice window opened Wednesday, was limited.
