At least for now, the Cincinnati Bengals have morphed into a punching bag on and off the field.

After losing their last two games by a combined score of 76-13, national media has justifiably gone wild on the Bengals.

Over at ESPN, Stephen A. Smith cited all of the Bengals’ horrific offensive numbers and had some words for head coach Zac Taylor.

“…with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on the **** football field. I am sorry,” Smith said. “That man, Zac Taylor. I appreciate that press conference that you just had. Beautiful to see. But this is exactly all people need to refer to when his *** is out as a head coach in the National Football League.”

ESPN’s Ryan Clark hit up the Bengals in a brutal fashion even before Smith did, during the team’s debacle last Monday night.

“The Cincinnati Bengals are becoming the get-right game for whatever team they’re playing,” Clark said. “… You’re not even playing like a professional outfit.”

All of the criticism is earned, considering this stretch has older Bengals fans reminded of the 90s. And if something doesn’t change with the on-field product in a hurry, the organization will have a hard time not ramping up hot seats and making some changes.
