Wide receiver Isaiah Sategna III #5 of the Oklahoma Sooners catches a 24-yard touchdown pass unguarded by the Auburn Tigers in the second quarter at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on September 20, 2025 in Norman, Oklahoma. SEC officials later released a statement interpreting the play as an illegal hideout tactic which should have resulted in a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Oklahoma won 24-17.

Oklahoma, coming off a 6-7 campaign in 2024, won its Southeastern Conference opener at home two weeks ago 24-17 over then-No. 22 Auburn. Sophomore quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. gets the start on Saturday after John Mateer underwent surgery on a broken right hand he sustained in the win over Auburn and is expected to miss two to four weeks. Hawkins made four starts last season. Jaren Kanak leads the receiving corps with 307 yards on 18 catches. Jayden Jackson leads the team with three sacks, while Taylor Wein has 2.5.

Kent State comes off a bye with three straight losses, including a 66-10 thrashing at then-No. 7 Florida State on Sept. 20. This is the Golden Flashes’ third meeting against a ranked opponent, as they lost 62-14 at then-No. 24 Texas Tech on Sept. 6. Dru DeShields split time at quarterback with CJ Montes before winning the starting job after Kent State’s third game. He has 642 yards and five TD passes.

This is a great college football matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
