Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams talked the talk, but Deommodore Lenoir and the 49ers got the last laugh on Thursday night.

As most divisional rivals do, players from both sides have continued to trash talk each other for years. After Los Angeles swept San Francisco during the 2024 NFL season, winning all three matchups of the campaign, Williams labeled the Rams the “big brothers” of the 49ers.

And his chatter continued during their primetime Thursday Night Football matchup at SoFi Stadium, per Lenoir. The 49ers’ first-year captain was on Instagram live Saturday and revealed that Williams was taunting Lenoir after scoring a touchdown.

“He’s got a fat mouth,” Lenoir said (h/t The SF Niners). “He shouldn’t have been talking. He pointed at me when he scored.”

Perhaps Williams had every right to brag throughout his two-touchdown performance. That was until he fumbled a win for Los Angeles — literally — after 49ers rookie defensive tackle Alfred Collins punched the ball out of his hands as he was centimeters away from the end zone and delivering the game-winning score for the Rams.

Several broadcast cameras captured Williams on the sideline after, distraught after a play that would’ve changed everything for Los Angeles.

So it was only right Lenoir returned the favor to Williams.

The 49ers cornerback won’t ever back down from a little trash talk, and time and time again, he’s backed up the talk with action.
