SALT LAKE CITY — Former BYU quarterback Taysom Hill has been activated off the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list, the New Orleans Saints announced on Saturday.
After tearing his ACL last season, Hill’s return to the gridiron will come in week five against the New York Giants.

New Orleans started the season 0-4 and are one of three winless teams left in the NFL, along with the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets
The Saints are currently in the bottom six for both points per game and passing yards per game. Although Hill was mostly used as a rusher last season, he could provide a spark in the passing game, whether under center or lined up out wide.
It remains to be seen how much he’ll be used and how much of an impact he’ll have. But he has had about 11 months to rehab his injury, and New Orleans wouldn’t have activated him if he wasn’t ready to return.
They will face a 1-3 New York team that just made the switch to rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart. It’s the first of two straight, and three of four overall, games at Caesars Superdome.
