Charlie Cummings provides his top player prop bets for Sunday’s Carolina Panthers vs. Miami Dolphins matchup.

This season feels like make-or-break territory for both the Dolphins and the Panthers. Miami hoped to take a step forward under Mike McDaniel and look like a legitimate playoff threat. Carolina wanted to get out of rebuilding territory and threaten a winning record at the very least. With both teams at 1-3, their dreams may be shattered with a loss on Sunday

The Dolphins are 1.5-point favorites at -120 on the Moneyline, while the Panthers are +100 underdogs to win outright on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 45.5 points. Here are my favorite player props for this Week 5 NFL game between the Panthers and Dolphins.

Panthers vs. Dolphins Best Prop Bets

De’Von Achane 70+ Rushing Yards (+109)

Carolina’s defense hasn’t performed well this season, but their run defense has been particularly rough. Despite Derrick Brown’s imposing presence over center, they’re not stopping much of anything on the ground. Carolina comes into this game 27th in yards per carry allowed and 23rd in total rushing yards allowed. That’s not going to cut it against Achane.

Achane is averaging a smooth 4.9 yards per carry himself and is on the heels of two great weeks. He took 12 carries for 62 yards against the Bills before 20 totes turned into 99 yards against the Jets. Expect Achane to get plenty of work in this one.

Bryce Young 210+ Passing Yards and Under 0.5 Interceptions Same Game Parlay (+242)

The Dolphins are not having a lot of fun defending the pass this year. Bryce Young is not having a fun time throwing his passes. Something has to give.

I’m betting on Miami’s defense being the thing that gives. The Dolphins have allowed the second-worst net yards per attempt this season and have yet to reel in an interception. Plain and simple, they don’t have the playmakers you need in the secondary. I still expect game script to favor Miami, and without Chuba Hubbard in the lineup, Carolina needs to lean on the pass to keep the chains moving. Bryce Young will be the beneficiary of that.
