After spending week six in Tuscaloosa for No. 11 Alabama’s game with No. 17 Vanderbilt, ESPN has announced the next location for its premier college football pregame show, “College Gameday.”

College Gameday will be heading to Eugene, Oregon, for a top-10 battle between the No. 2 Oregon Ducks and the No. 9 Indiana Hoosiers. Both teams will enter week seven’s game with identical 5-0 records, and both are 2-0 in Big Ten play. Both the Ducks and Hoosiers were off from play in week six, but won close games in week five. Indiana scored 10 points over the final 9:47 in its game at Iowa to win, 20-15 while Oregon escaped the annual “white out” game at Penn State, winning 30-24 in overtime.

Saturday’s episode of College Gameday will be the 13th time in history that the show has originated from Eugene, and the first time since Oct. 12, 2024, when the show was on hand to preview then-No. 3 Oregon’s game with then-No. 2 Ohio State. The Ducks won the game, 32-31, but the game was more known for creating a rule change. Late in the game, Oregon purposely played 12 players on defense in an effort to shave time off the clock for Ohio State, which was driving late in an attempt to take a lead. The scheme worked, and the NCAA later changed the rule that gives teams the opportunity to reset the clock from the previous play within the final two minutes of either half.

Ohio State got the last laugh, however, as the Buckeyes defeated the Ducks, 41-21 in the Rose Bowl to advance in the College Football Playoff, where Ohio State later won the College Football Playoff National Championship.

Outside of Oregon-Indiana, college football fans can expect to see analysis of notable games such as Ohio State vs. Illinois, Alabama vs. Missouri, Oklahoma vs. Texas, Florida vs. Texas A&M, and Auburn vs. Georgia during the show.

In its history, College Gameday has been on hand for 36 Oregon games and five Indiana games, with three of those games taking place last season.
