Washington Commanders vs. Los Angeles Chargers Week 5 inactives: Who’s in, who’s out?

The Washington Commanders (2-2) face the Los Angeles Chargers (3-1) today from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Jayden Daniels makes his return to the starting lineup after missing the previous two games with a knee injury. Daniels will wear a brace on his left knee. Marcus Mariota, who played well over the last two games, returns to his backup role, while Josh Johnson will be inactive and serve as Washington’s emergency quarterback.

For the first time since returning to the Commanders last month, defensive end Preston Smith is active today against the Chargers.

Brandon Coleman is inactive for the third consecutive week after being replaced at left guard by Chris Paul.
