Cincinnati Bengals rookie guard Dylan Fairchild apparently suffered an injury during his team’s big loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 5.
Fairchild had a limp and brace on his left knee on Monday in the Bengals locker room, according to WLWT’s Jaron May, with the rookie still hoping to be able to practice this week before the game against the Green Bay Packers.

A third-round rookie, Fairchild won the starting job over the summer and has had an up-and-down season to date, as expected for a first-year starter getting reps on the interior of an overall struggling offensive line.
The Bengals don’t have many strong depth options if Fairchild can’t play, though that could change quickly if Lucas Patrick can get back from his injury this week. Dylan Rivers, a fifth-round rookie, has already been starting at the other guard spot due to injuries.
