Cincinnati has lost three straight games with Jake Browning at QB. Fans think it’s time for a change.

The Atlanta Falcons have a starting-caliber quarterback to spare in Kirk Cousins, and it was only a matter of time before a logical landing spot emerged. We may have finally reached that point in Week 5. The Cincinnati Bengals will likely be without Joe Burrow for the rest of the season, and backup Jake Browning has struggled in recent weeks.

Browning has gone 0-3 as the starting quarterback, passing for six touchdowns and eight interceptions. The 29-year-old tossed three more interceptions in the Bengals’ 37-24 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 5. Bengals head coach Zac Taylor left the door open for a QB change following Sunday’s game.

“After a game like that, we’re going to look at all personnel to make sure we’re doing the right thing,” Taylor said when asked about Browning’s status. “I won’t shy away from that because it’s a very fair question after the amount of turnovers that we had.”

The Bengals are 2-3, but despite their three-game losing streak, they still have a shot at the postseason. Considering how much money the team spent to extend wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, it would make sense for Cincinnati to make a move.

Fans of both the Falcons and Bengals started connecting the dots after Taylor’s post-game comments, with many calling for a Cousins-to-Cincinnati trade.

The Falcons will return to action after their bye week to face the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football in Week 6. The Bills suffered their first loss of the season to the New England Patriots on Sunday night. Nonetheless, Buffalo is an absolute powerhouse and the Falcons have their work cut out for them.
