The Denver Broncos have a new wide receiver.

The Broncos signed Samori Toure to their practice squad on Monday, according to the NFL’s transaction wire. They had an open spot for Toure after linebacker Garret Wallow was promoted to the active roster over the weekend.

Toure (6-1, 196 pounds) is a 27-year-old veteran who entered the league as a seventh-round pick out of Nebraska with the Green Bay Packers in 2022. In two seasons (22 games) with the Pack, Toure hauled in receptions for 160 yards and one touchdown. He had a three-yard catch against the Broncos in 2023.

Toure spent last season on the Chicago Bears‘ practice squad, and after being cut by the Bears in August, he worked out for Denver in September. One month after that workout, he has now joined the practice squad.

More changes could be on the way. After placing guard Ben Powers (biceps) on injured reserve, Denver has an open spot on the 53-man roster. That spot could be filled by promoting a player from the practice squad.
