Tim Jenkins, a former NFL quarterback and host of YouTube’s All Things QB, recently broke down Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix’s performance against the Cincinnati Bengals, culminating in a 28-3 blowout win.
Nix finished the game against the Bengals 29-of-42 passing for a career-high 326 yards with two passing touchdowns and one interception, along with adding a rushing touchdown and 54 rushing yards to boot.
One thing that stood out to Jenkins was some of the drops from Broncos receivers. In the first quarter, Nix faked a toss and rolled out, before throwing a frozen rope to wide receiver Troy Franklin, which was dropped by Franklin. “That to me, that’s a drop, ladies and gentlemen,” said Jenkins.
Jenkins also commented on Nix’s ability to throw on the run. On a bootleg pass to tight end Adam Trautman, Nix went to his left, and threw a bullet to Trautman for a big completion. “Great job getting out of the pocket,” Jenkins said. “That is just a great throw on the run. And it looks so darn easy for him. That’s the thing that’s exciting is look how easy he makes this look. Man. Gosh, that’s a lot of talent right there.”
Nix’s last touchdown, a pass to rookie running back RJ Harvey was a simple “pitch and catch,” said Jenkins.
“This one — another just great recognition,” Jenkins said. “You got cover zero. Nobody goes with the back, great pitch and catch.”
Jenkins then gave his honest analysis of Bo Nix against the Bengals. “I honestly thought Bo Nix played a great game,” said Jenkins. “I really do. I thought he did a good job…. I thought it was a really efficient football game. I thought more or less, he dominated.”
You can view the full 22-minute analysis from Jenkins below. Bo Nix and the Broncos travel to the City of Brotherly Love to face the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
