Let’s have some fun this Tuesday afternoon.

Virginia football’s 5-1 start (3-0 in the ACC) has started to make people notice. The Cavaliers picked up some big wins against then ranked No. 8 Florida State and a then undefeated Louisville.

These are quality wins for UVA.

“This is what you should expect out of UVA,” Virginia running back J’Mari Taylor said after the win over Louisville. “We’re a great team, but we’re humble. We’re changing things up here at UVa, and we’re going to finish the season strong.

“We can definitely win the ACC.”

UVA was rewarded for solid season start by climbing up the rankings to No. 19 in the AP Top 25 poll and by entering the USA Today Coaches Poll for the first time this season, coming in at No. 24.

“This team is kind of in uncharted waters,” Virginia head coach Tony Elliott said. “It’s something new for them, something different and it’s an opportunity to teach. And that’s what’s been so fun about this group. Now, you can teach them.

“Before, I couldn’t bring up the concept that teams separate from each other in October,” he continued. “Before, you’re trying to scramble to find a way to win a game. But now we’re talking about big-picture things for them to absorb.”

ESPN FPI predicts Virginia to finish 10-2. -giving them a 15.8% chance of winning the ACC Championship and a 13.8% chance of making the College Football Playoff. Wahoos247’s Ava Posey will break down the FPI a little bit more on Wednesday and how that changed since the preseason BUT we wanted to dive in a bit about the path to the ACC title game and the path for the College Football Playoffs for the Cavaliers.

How realistic is a CFP run for Elliott’s team?
