The Pittsburgh Steelers‘ trade rumors continue to heat up, as the asking price for New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave has been predicted by a respected insider.
According to Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Saints could be looking for anything from a mid- to late-round draft pick, as injuries and poor production may have hampered his price tag.
“I would think a mid-round pick, but maybe just a late-round pick because he does have injury issues,” Fittipaldo wrote via Tuesday’s Steelers chat. “He’s caught a lot of passes this year (33), but not for a lot of yards and he only has one TD. I’m just guessing, but maybe a fourth- or fifth-round pick.”
Selected with the 11th overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Olave quickly cemented himself as the primary receiving option in New Orleans — catching 159 passes for 2,165 yards and nine touchdowns in his first two seasons. Injuries ultimately derailed his 2024 season, but he is currently tied for the sixth-most receptions through four games.
