After a couple of one-score losses that dropped them to 0-4, the New York Jets tried to sell silver linings to their hungry fanbase.

But after their latest loss, a full-on blowout, the silver linings are gone.

The Jets have been uncompetitive for just about the entirety of the last 16 quarters they’ve played. This team is a mess of epic proportions, and there is no other way to slice it.

The film is extremely unkind to the Jets. Rather than showing signs of a team that is “close,” the film reveals a group of undisciplined players with poor technique being led by a coaching staff getting outcoached on a weekly basis. Oftentimes, the team looks clueless.

The Jets may not be gunning for a Super Bowl this year, but it is still necessary for them to establish good habits as they try to build a sustainable foundation. They are coming nowhere close to accomplishing that goal. Very little of what the Jets have shown on the field is reminiscent of the habits displayed by winning franchises.

Who is most to blame for the Jets’ 0-5 start? Is there any hope for these issues to be fixed during the 2025 season, or is it going to be a long year? Is it time for fans to be legitimately worried about Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey?

We’re here to answer those questions (and many more) in the latest Blewett’s Blitz film review.
