The Arizona Cardinals are in offseason mode and we are days away from free agency and weeks from the NFL draft. Leading up to the new league year, we will take a look at each player on the roster or signed to a reserve deal and break down where they stand with the team.

We will look at their 2024 season, their contract status and what their status is for the coming offseason and 2025 season.

Next up is outside linebacker Elliott Brown.

2024 Elliot Brown, stats, season

Officially a rookie because he has never been on an NFL roster, Brown played the last two seasons with the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League after playing collegiately at Virginia. He had a breakthrough year for the Elks in 2024, playing all 18 games and totaling 8.0 sacks. Brown was also named to the Western Division All-Star Team.

2025 contract status

Brown signed a three-year contract minimum salary with the Cardinals on Jan. 13 and his salary if on the roster during the regular season will be the rookie minimum of $840,000.

Outlook for 2025

Might Brown be a diamond in the rough for the Cardinals? A CFL source told Cards Wire the 6-foot-4, 225-pound edge rusher has excellent athletic ability and could be a good fit in the Arizona defense.
