BROOKVILLE — Scrambling to score goals, the Brookville Raiders soccer team’s winless streak hit six games with Tuesday’s 3-0 loss to Redbank Valley.

The Raiders (4-10-2) were scheduled to finish the regular season at St. Marys on Thursday.

Over the past six games, the Raiders were 0-5-1 with four goals with three of them coming in last Saturday’s 5-3 loss at home to North Clarion. Monday, the Raiders and Keystone tied 1-1 on Senior Night.

Monday, the Panthers’ Sam Fye scored at the 8:10 mark of the first half. The Raiders knotted it up in the second half with 32:41 remaining when Austin Werner found the back of the net.

Neither scored in the two 10-minute extra periods.

“(The tie) was good in the sense that it wasn’t a loss,” Raiders head coach Dave Reitz said. “Our woes continue with not being able to finish and that was clearly obvious tonight and our woes continue on not being able to defend a set piece … we had so many opportunities inside the box to score and we just can’t find it. That’s the downside”

Prior to their game with the Panthers, the Raiders recognized Ayden Cieleski, Maddox Harmon, Isaac Reitz, Justin Smith and Andrew Kornbau.

In last Saturday’s loss to North Clarion, Harmon, Smith and Oryn Vander Kelen scored for the Raiders while Werner assisted on one goal.

Last Thursday at Brockway, the Raiders dropped a 4-0 decision.
