Vidal, a 2024 sixth-round pick, has put together 53 touches for 236 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in 12 career games.

He got some opportunities last season due to injuries as well but saw his first extended action this past Sunday as well following the injury and rushed for 18 yards, including a long of 11.

After a preseason he felt could’ve been better, the second-year running back is looking forward to building on this past week.

“It felt good,” Vidal said. “I wish my preseason went better in some of those games. It was good to get out there and try to fight.”

“It was good to get in the game,” Vidal added.

As far as what their approach looks like this week knowing they will be leaned on, the pair of running backs both echoed it was business as usual.

Haskins said it was something that the two didn’t have to mention as they are well aware of what’s in front of them.

It’s life in the NFL, and they’re ready for whatever they have to do going forward.

“I’m always prepared. In the beginning of the season, no matter where I am in the depth chart, I’m always preparing like I’m going to be out there starting or whatever,” Haskins said. “I’m always prepared to go and get the job done.”

Vidal added: “I’m just preparing for whatever. 20 carries, 25 carries, two carries, I’m going to give it my all to every single play I get and every single opportunity. That’s how it is in the NFL, you have to treat it that way.”
