The 2025 Detroit Lions are putting up huge numbers while being a tight-knit, chemistry-driven team. Running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery are a thunder and lightning duo also known as Sonic & Knuckles. Amon-Ra St. Brown continues to solidify his career as a bona fide weapon at the wide receiver position. The beauty of it is, they all love to play football and compete on Sundays. Hence, the reason they have been able to put up massive numbers this year en route to stacking up wins.

With Gibbs and Montgomery both having at least 4 touchdowns apiece (Gibbs has 5). They are the only pair of running backs with at least four touchdowns this season. Since they became teammates in 2023, they have each scored a touchdown in 14 games, including Weeks 2 and 5 this season. If both score a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6, they will surpass Daryl Johnston and Emmitt Smith for the most games amongst running back teammates each scoring a touchdown in the Super Bowl era. It would also tie Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame duo Paul Hornung and Jim Taylor (15 games) for the third most in NFL history.
