As expected, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will officially start Sunday’s matchup vs. the Los Angeles Chargers, head coach Mike McDaniel confirmed during his Friday afternoon press conference (10/10).
“He fully participated the whole week.”
Tua’s hip injury, however, appears to be completely unrelated to the left hip injury that forced him to miss two games a season ago. And for a quarterback that already has a plethora of concerns surrounding his health, this is something we’ll have to monitor closely in the coming weeks.
“Different hip than last year… same hip (as in college), but completely different injury. Unrelated to any other hip-related issue is what he was getting treated for”, McDaniel said.
Something has to change on both sides of the ball, which is what the Dolphins hope to do on Sunday. Thankfully for Miami and its fanbase, Tua Tagovailoa will be starting, giving the fans at least one more Tua vs. Herbert showdown.
