The Laurens Raiders picked up their first win of the 2025 season in convincing fashion with a 58-0 win over the Southside Tigers in Gantt on Friday night.

Laurens (1-6, 1-1) dominated the Tigers (0-7, 0-2) from the opening drive. The Raiders opened up a 30-0 lead after the first quarter of play. Laurens added two touchdowns in the second quarter and one each in the third and fourth.

Placekicker Brock Franklin put in the work with eight extra points, nine kickoffs and no punts.

Laurens accumulated 22 first downs, 167 yards rushing and 251 yards passing for a total of 418 yards of total offense.

Quarterback Logan Bragg was 13 for 17 for 251 yards and two touchdowns. He connected with Damajia Crooks on an 81-yard touchdown pass and then hit Nehemias Fernandez on a 38-yard scoring toss, both in the first quarter.

Fernandez scored two rushing touchdowns, a 16-yard run in the first quarter and an 8-yard run in the third. He finished with 43 yards rushing and 38 yards receiving.

Denari Lee-Jackson added two rushing touchdowns, 13 yards in the first and 32 yards in the second.

Travion Robinson scored on a 21-yard run in the third quarter and Jace Campbell finished out the scoring with a 4-yard run in the fourth.  

Defensively, the Raiders shined all night. Quinton Watts blocked a punt in the first quarter that went out of the endzone, giving the Raiders two points on a safety.  

Southside managed just three first downs and 57 yards of total offense. The Tigers ran one play in Raider territory, a fourth down play at the Raiders 49-yard line.

Laurens returns home next week against the Wren Hurricanes. Kickoff is at 7:30pm at K.C. Hanna Stadium.
