The Nov. 4 trade deadline is right around the corner, and it seems the Kansas City Chiefs could be a team to watch in the coming weeks.
NFL Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo report that the Chiefs are among the teams that are asking around about running backs who might be available. And among those expected to be in talks are Saints’ Alvin Kamara and Jets’ Breece Hall.

While Kareem Hunt has been effective in short yardage, the Chiefs’ backs have been unable to get some explosive plays. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes currently leads the team in rushing yards with 190 across 28 carries. Hunt is behind him with 164 yards in 43 carries, while Isiah Pacheco has 163 yards in 39 carries.
But it’s not enough, and that’s evident in the Chiefs’ struggles to start the season, currently holding a 2-3 record. So now, they are going to do what they can to improve the roster at a key position.
Other Trade Reports From Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo
“Expect Jacksonville to call around for more help on defense, likely up front on the line.”
The 49ers are “on the hunt for edge help after losing Nick Bosa for the rest of the season to a torn ACL.”
Players who have garnered interest: Titans’ Arden Key, Dolphins’ Bradley Chubb , and Packers’ Kingsley Enagbare.
“The Giants have called teams for receiver help after losing Malik Nabers to a season-ending knee injury, but as always at this time of year, teams are hesitant to part with good, contributing players.”
“Teams have called the Jets and Titans about potential trades, which is not a surprise given their combined 1-9 record,” and Tennessee is “open for business,” while the Jets will “regroup and asses where they are” following their game in London.
Eagles could look “for some help on defense. A cornerback or edge would make sense.”

RB Isiah Pacheco Opened Up About Steps He’s Taking To Improve After Slow Start
During the 2024 season, Pacheco suffered a fractured fibula in Week 2, and since returning to the field, he hasn’t looked the same.
Now, five weeks through the season, he is currently third on the team in total rushing yards, behind Mahomes and Hunt. And with that, in the past two games, he’s only recorded five receptions for 33 yards and one touchdown.
But, he’s been putting in the work and he is confident it will begin to show in games.

“I’m detailing my work throughout the weeks here,” Pacheco said. “Every week is getting faster and faster. You got guys coming out more hyped to play us. We’re getting their best every week. So, we got to come out rolling, and it starts in practice.”
