Football fans noticed the same thing about Tony Romo’s appearance during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-San Francisco 49ers game on Sunday afternoon.
Tony Romo and Jim Nantz were assigned to a highly anticipated showdown between the 49ers and Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday. Despite an onslaught of injuries on offense, Baker Mayfield had an excellent outing (17 completions for 256 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions) in a 30-19 victory.
During the CBS broadcast, fans noticed a drastic change in Romo’s physical appearance:
“Tony Romo trying to bring back the “sock tie” trend from the 80’s. Who’s dressing this guy?” a fan asked.
“Tony romo showed up on TV today with that bronze Bobby face tan🤣,” another said.
“Tony Romo in October:,” a fan said with a GIF of Cosmo Kramer’s character from Seinfeld:
“Can we have a conversation about Tony Romo’s spray tan?” asked a user.
“Tony Romo spray tan???” another asked.
“tony romo fire your makeup artist,” said a fan.
Fans also noticed Tony Romo’s noticeable tan in the Kansas City Chiefs-Baltimore Ravens game in Week 4.
After retiring from the NFL in 2017, Romo signed a deal with CBS Sports to take over as the new analyst alongside Nantz on the network’s top team. Romo signed a lucrative extension in 2020 worth around $17 million annually, the New York Post reported at the time.
