WARE, Hertfordshire, England — The Vikings took the specially created practice field at Hanbury Manor on Wednesday to begin on-field preparation for facing the Cleveland Browns in Week 5.
The team practiced Thursday and Friday, and game statuses were announced Friday.
Fullback C.J. Ham and outside linebacker Tyler Batty are on Injured Reserve but are listed on the injury report because their 21-day evaluation window opened Wednesday. Ham and Batty are allowed to participate in practices during the window but do not count against the 53-man roster limit. If either is activated, however, a corresponding roster move will be necessary.
Update, Oct. 3: The Vikings on Friday ruled out left guard Donovan Jackson, center Ryan Kelly, center Michael Jurgens, right tackle Brian O’Neill, quarterback J.J. McCarthy and outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel.
Jackson has been recovering from wrist surgery, Kelly left last week’s game in concussion protocol. Jurgens suffered his hamstring injury last week but finished the game. O’Neill is on the mend from a sprained MCL suffered last week. McCarthy is rehabbing a high ankle sprain suffered in Week 2, and Van Ginkel has been dealing with a neck injury for multiple weeks.
