The Kansas City Chiefs‘ offense will get a huge boost in Week 7 as wide receiver Rashee Rice returns to the field after serving his six-game suspension to start the 2025 season.

Following the Chiefs’ Week 6 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday night, Rice is now eligible to return to action. The 25-year-old pass-catcher was issued a suspension for violation of the NFL‘s personal conduct policy.

The Chiefs are trending in the right direction as Rice makes his return to the field. After suffering back-to-back losses to open up the year, the reigning AFC champions are now 3-3 and quarterback Patrick Mahomes seems to be finding a groove.

Rice took to social media with a clear message on his Instagram story after the Chiefs’ 30-17 win over the Lions at Arrowhead Stadium.

“Demon home too,” Rice wrote in response to the end of his NFL suspension.

Rice joined the Chiefs as a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft. In his debut season, the former SMU standout reeled in 79 catches for 938 yards and seven touchdowns. His 2024 campaign was cut short after he collided with Mahomes and suffered a season-ending knee injury.

Before that unfortunate Week 4 injury, he was on an excellent pace with 24 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns.

Rice should immediately return to being one of Mahomes’ top receiving weapons in Sunday’s Week 7 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

“I’m very excited,” Mahomes said of Rice’s impending return after the Chiefs’ win over the Lions.
