Heading into Week 7, where do the Jaguars stand in the AFC playoff picture?
It’s only Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season, but we are still going to take an early look at where the Jacksonville Jaguars stand in the AFC playoff picture.
At 4-2 on the season, the Jaguars are currently the sixth seed in the AFC. Buffalo, who is also 4-2, is the fifth seed and is the top wildcard team. The 4-2 Broncos are the seventh seed and are the final wildcard team.
The Jaguars’ defense has been exceptional at forcing takeaways this season. The offense, meanwhile, has often had a strong running game to lean on, which is where success for this unit in the Liam Coen system begins.
However, as we saw in Jacksonville’s Week 6 loss to Seattle, there are still things to clean up as well. Self-inflicted errors have been an issue throughout the year.
The Jaguars are second in the AFC South, behind the 5-1 Indianapolis Colts, who are the top seed in the conference. Jacksonville has not yet played the Colts this season.
According to NFL.com, the Jaguars have a 61% chance of making the playoffs at the moment.
