It will be a quick turnaround after Sunday as the Bolts then host the Vikings in Week 8 on Thursday Night Football.

This is first of two Super Chargers games in 2025, with the other coming in Week 13 against the Raiders.

The end zones in Week 8 will be navy and feature ‘CHARGERS’ in large, white block letters that will draw nostalgia from the franchise’s time in San Diego.

The midfield Bolt is an updated look from what the franchise previously used nearly two decades ago. The center of the logo is white with a navy outline around it. A thinner gold outline on navy completes the modern throwback look.

As for the Bolts Week 8 alternate uniform, the new Super Chargers threads are comprised of an all-navy set that includes a modernized helmet (with the identical finish of the previous era), jersey and pants.

It’s worth noting the new navy uniforms look a bit different than what the Chargers previously wore. The last time the Chargers wore a navy uniform was in 2006.

Players who previously wore navy — including a pair of Hall of Famers — love the new look.

“I love the navy. That was my favorite one,” said Antonio Gates. “And once I saw this new version, I said, ‘Yeah, I definitely would have scored a few touchdowns wearing that.’ I love that uniform. I wish I could play in it again.”

LaDainian Tomlinson added: “If you think about the Chargers and the brand and the colors — and what that means — I think most people my age would identify with the navy blue and the lightning bolt. When you saw that jersey, more than likely you were in Qualcomm Stadium. And, more than likely, if you were on the other team in that era you were leaving with a loss.”
