After the Jacksonville Jaguars’ latest contract adjustment, how much 2025 salary cap space does the team now have ahead of the NFL trade deadline?
According to Spotrac, the Jaguars converted $8.8 million of Greg Newsome’s salary into a signing bonus and added four void years, which created $7 million in space for the 2025 season.

By taking on a prorated version of Newsome’s $13.38 million deal for the 2025 season, the trade reduced Jacksonville’s 2025 cap space by $8.3 million.
At the time of the trade, the Jaguars were nearly $1 million over the salary cap — ranking last in the NFL in available cap space.
Along with adjusting Newsome’s deal, the Jaguars recently did the same with Walker Little and Dyami Brown, which freed up, in total, about $5 million in additional 2025 salary cap space.
So, after trading for Newsome, reworking his deal, and adjusting the contracts of Little and Brown, how much salary cap space do the Jaguars have?

Over the Cap currently has Jacksonville with $12.3 million in cap space. Compared to the NFL, this ranks as the 15th most — a far cry from being 32nd, which was the case about a week ago.
This amount of cap space provides GM James Gladstone with the flexibility to continue reshaping the roster with the NFL trade deadline just a few weeks away.
